Focus On The Big Picture; Don't Sweat The Small Stuff

Today I thought about just how true this quote about Focus on the big picture. Don't sweat the small stuff is. 

It's easy for me to get wrapped up in the day to day processes and problems. When I do that I find that slowly, incrementally even, start going in the wrong direction. I have a tendency to go towards whatever I am looking at. When I don't look where I am going I am much more likely to crash and burn.

It's not just true looking through the lens of a peer support specialist, but is true when I ride my motorcycle. I crash and burn when I lose sight of where I want to end up. That doesn't have to happen. With practice I have found that I start to see where I am through where I want to be instead of the other way around. It is a difference in perspective that really helps me deal with things better.
